Send a copyright notice

For rights holders. If your work is on Cold XVI without permission, this is how to tell us. We act on complete notices within 24 hours.

This form sends a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512. Every field is required because the statute requires it — an incomplete notice is one we are not able to act on. The full procedure, including how a user contests a takedown, is in the Copyright and Repeat Infringer Policy.

Before you file

§ 512(f) makes you liable for damages — including our costs and attorneys' fees — if you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing. Fair use is a use authorized by law. If you are not sure whether you are looking at infringement or at commentary, get advice first.

A link to the verse, its id, or the @handle of the account. We need enough to locate the exact material — § 512(c)(3)(iii).

Identify the copyrighted work you say was infringed. If there are several, list them.
